Our Company
ADEX Machining Technologies (formerly known as M.C. Tool) was founded in Greer, South Carolina, in 1987 after being moved from Michigan City, Indiana, to take advantage of the growing business climate of the Southeast United States.
In 2007, the company was acquired by two partners, Sean Witty and Jason Premo, to further invest in the company’s people, processes and technology that will take the company to the next level of performance. The partners, roommates at The Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), bring a strong background in manufacturing best practices, each with almost 20 years of experience in both tactical and leadership roles in Engineering, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Lean-Six Sigma Continuous Improvement.
The company was originally made up of conventional milling and turning machines with just three employees, and today has almost 60 associates operating on a 24 x 7 capacity schedule and utilizing the most advanced 5 Axis CNC, EDM and CMM equipment.
ADEX specializes in providing customers with one-stop-shopping, including full service design-to-manufacturing production of tooling, fixtures, custom machinery and contract machining of production components. The company is highly experienced with machining exotic alloys such as Inconel, Carbide, Stainless, Titanium, Haynes, Hastelloy, Rene and others. Additionally, ADEX is a fully licensed Federal Aviation Repair (FAR 145) station, ISO 90001 and AS 9100 compliant to meet strict quality requirements and “two-tenths” tolerance applications, and has developed a diverse customer base with strong relationships and repeat business.
